Oversized wide arm yellow jumper with a royal blue pleated skirt.

It’s dull outside but it’s bright inside. That’s what I like to tell myself when the weather is dark and cold. My last two posts were focused on black outfits. However, I’ve decided to brightened up my wardrobe with this oversized yellow jumper and royal blue pleated skirt. I love the contrast of the royal blue skirt against my navy open back – peep toe high heels (these are about 4 years old or more!). The oversized jumper is one of my favourites to date. Although I’ve decided to wear the jumper with a skirt, it would also look great with a pair of jeans and a pair of boots too. Anyway, I’ll leave that idea for another blog post. I’m loving the pleated skirt too. In my view, it’s a piece you can dress up or dress down, depending on the occasion.

Long sleeve sweater dress. It’s an all black thing.

Okay, so we are still on the theme of black. Today’s outfit of the day, is a black long sleeve sweater dress, teamed up with black peep toe high heels and a black bag. I love the bell sleeves on the dress, as they remind me of fashion pieces from the Victorian era. This is definitely a versatile piece. I would feel comfortable wearing this dress to work with tights and ballet shoes or a pair of black ankle boots. I would also feel comfortable wearing this dress with some fancy high heels in a bar or at a party after work. Also, with a pair of knee-high boots, this dress would be a great piece for a day out (with a warm winter coat) in town. It’s all about mixing and matching ladies, so watch out for those clothing items that you can wear for various occasions. It will help you save some coins too!

Thigh high boots…because it’s cold outside.

The weather has taken a turn. I think I can officially say we’ve entered the winter season, or do I need to wait until it’s actually December before I can say that? I don’t know about you, but I really felt the cold weather on my skin this week. To be honest, I’m not very good with the winter season. I much prefer the summer and autumn season. But the cold weather will not hold us fashionistas back? Today I decided it would be an all-black affair. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to wear my black thigh boots for ages. Ladies, can you believe I bought these boots last winter and haven’t had a chance to wear them out? I know…shocking! Don’t worry; this winter they will be fully utilised. I decided to wear my boots with my black skinny jeans and belt from H&M, and my black one shoulder knitted top from Zara (I love this top!!!). And why the sunglasses in November? Well of course I can’t be easily defeated by the cold weather. In my heart and mind, I’m still hanging onto the long summer we just had (which doesn’t come often) and plus, my sunglasses look great with my outfit, so why not?
